Welcome Message

Dear Madam, Sir,
On behalf of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) and the Swiss Society of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine (SUHMS), we are proud to invite you to the 50th Scientific Congress of the European Underwater and Baromedical Society which will take place from 14 to 18 September 2026 in Geneva.
This annual European Congress will be held for the second time in Switzerland and will take place at the Geneva International Conference Centre (CICG). The Swiss Confederation has an international reputation in the world of diving thanks to the work of Prof A. Bühlmann in Zürich. It is therefore an honour for our country to receive specialists from all over the world to discuss the latest work in our specialty. The choice of Geneva makes perfect sense because of the presence of the only hyperbaric hospital facility in Switzerland at the University Hospitals of Geneva.
This 50th congress will be a perfect blend of scientific exchanges and unforgettable activities to celebrate the jubilee
We hope to celebrate with all of you the Jubilee of our European society. We plan to host more than 400 colleagues in the field of hyperbaric medicine and diving from the 5 continents.
Together, let’s make this Jubilee an unforgettable event for the future of underwater and hyperbaric medicine.
